Governor Phil Bryant supports Senator Watson

Senator Watson is honored to have Gov. Phil Bryant’s support in his re-election bid for the MS State Senate. “Governor Bryant and I fought against illegal immigration, eminent domain, a legislative redistricting plan that was bad for Mississippi and many other important issues during his time spent as our Lt. Governor. Over the years, we’ve made Mississippi safer for the unborn, fought for the 2nd Amendment, lowered taxes, weathered the recession, brought jobs to Mississippi and stood for Mississippi values. Our friendship and working relationship has only gotten stronger, and I’m proud to have Governor Bryant in my corner.”

Defunding Planned Parenthood

Conservatives have long desired to defund Planned Parenthood. Even before the disturbing videos came out, I didn’t know a single conservative who wanted the government to take their hard-earned money and give it to the abortion providing Planned Parenthood.

Contrary to the wishes of conservatives across America, Speaker Boehner has decided he needs more facts before moving to defund Planned Parenthood. Again, name a conservative who agreed with the government funding of Planned Parenthood BEFORE the videos surfaced, much less after.

I strongly encourage our congressman to have another “man to man” conversation with his choice for Speaker of the House. In his own words, Rep. Palazzo said, “Make no mistake, I will hold Speaker Boehner accountable for his actions.  If he refuses to put forward conservative solutions to our nation’s problems, I will strongly oppose his every move.”

Conservatives are waiting…
