Michael Watson announces bid for Mississippi lieutenant governor

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Secretary of State Michael Watson (R-Miss.) announced he is running to be the next lieutenant governor of Mississippi.

“I’ve been a conservative fighter in the State Senate and as your Secretary of State; it’s time for the next fight. I believe our state’s brightest days are still ahead—and that we’ll make this the best place to live, work and raise a family for my daughters and your children and grandchildren, too,” he said in a social media announcement.
