Michael Watson announces run for Lt. Governor at stop in Olive Branch
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (DeSoto Times Tribune) – Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson stopped in Olive Branch today to announce his run for lieutenant governor as part of a statewide tour. Watson outlined his policy goals in a speech at the Hilton Garden Inn which include election integrity, deregulating businesses, and bringing more job opportunities to Mississippi.
“I’m excited to be here today to launch our campaign for lieutenant governor in 2027,” Watson said. “When I feel like there is an opportunity to do more good, wherever it is, I will take a shot no matter what it may be.”
